Global Educational Meetings
The Academy for Infection
Management – with the remit of improving outcomes
through education – brings together leading experts
from various specialities, including intensive
care, infectious diseases, pneumonia and surgery.
The educational programme
and materials have been developed by a multidisciplinary
faculty of leading experts, chaired by Dr Marin
Kollef. Global educational meetings were held
in Barcelona, Mexico City, Berlin and more recently in Copenhagen; these
looked at the evidence for using appropriate
antibiotics early in infections, resistance mechanisms,
PK/PD and pharmacoeconomic issues. Interactive
workshops examining clinical strategies for management
and case-based learning were an important aspect
of these meetings.
Please find below links to
the faculty presentations, which are available

programme.
